Our Properties
SBO got it's start in 2004. Back then we had the ability to work with municipalities and the real estate owned by it that were contractually bound to the National Housing Credit Guarantee Board (BKN) formerly known as the State Housing Commission (SBN).
So far, SBO has managed to draw up a contractual agreement concerning 92 apartments with Porjus in the municipality of Jokkmokk. Porjus was awarded the title of ”Memorable Industry 2009”. The prize was awarded on the eleventh of February 2010.
SBO has also been working in conjunction with shareholders in the tourism branch on several projects together with Porjus and its associations. SBO is contributing financially through the European Union to a solar cell factory (HPU-Projekt) that is under development with Luleå Technical University.
SBO also contributed finances to another EU project called Northern Lights started with the involvement of a local entrepreneur named Patricia Cowern. A barrack capable of housing 48 individuals was sold to The Archive Committee for 1 SEK. This was done as a means of averting the cost of demolition. New fuel plants were completed in Porjus, others are still under construction. In
February of 2009 the “Holland Project” was started with the intention of bringing new tenants to Porjus.

Elevators open new possibilities
One of the most common challenges we meet in our work is providing accessibility to the handicapped and the elderly. In this B rochure , we present the various methods used to construct elevators in existing two and three story structures.
Ragunda
Existing stairs were demolished and replaced with an exterior stairwell. An elevator was constructed where the original stairwell had been.
Filipstad
A new elevator was constructed in an apartment with existing stairwells.
Laxå
An elevator and stairs were built outside the building. An external gallery serves as a single entrance point.
Överkalix
An elevator was constructed between two free standing houses. An external gallery serves as the entrance to both buildings. The original stairways were left alone.
